Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and [YOUR REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME] for using Untilt. Please read them. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Untilt (“we”, “us”) is operated by [YOUR REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME], registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], of [PHYSICAL ADDRESS], South Africa. You can contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

2. What the service is

Untilt is web-based software that helps traders keep a journal: logging trades, following a personal rules checklist, tracking streaks and lessons, reviewing results on a calendar, recording backtests and keeping records of trading accounts, including proprietary-firm (“prop firm”) evaluation and funded accounts.

It is a record-keeping and self-improvement tool only. It does not execute trades, connect to your broker, hold your money, or give financial advice. Please read our Risk Disclaimer.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think it has been accessed without your permission.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share your login.

4. Subscription, free trial and payment

  • Plan and price. The Pro plan costs R199 per month, charged in South African rand (ZAR). The price shown when you subscribe is the price that applies to you.
  • Free trial. New accounts get a 7-day free trial of the full service. The trial is available once per account. A payment card is required to start it.
  • Card check. To save your card, our payment provider makes a small card verification charge (R5.00 by default) which we refund straight away. Your bank may take several business days to show the refund.
  • Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged R199 when the trial ends, and every month after that until you cancel. By starting the trial you authorise these recurring charges.
  • Payment provider. Payments are processed by Paystack. Your full card number and security code are entered on Paystack's pages and are never seen or stored by us. We keep only the card type, last four digits and expiry date so you can recognise your card.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails we will let you know in the app. You keep access for a short grace period (currently 3 days) while you update your card on the Billing page. After that you can still view and export your data, but you cannot add or change data until payment succeeds.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time on the Billing page. If you cancel during the trial you will not be charged the plan price. If you cancel a paid subscription, no further payments are taken and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. See Refunds & Cancellation.
  • Price changes. If we change the price we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

5. Your data and content

  • You own the data and content you put into Untilt (your trades, notes, lessons, goals, screenshots and so on).
  • You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, including making backups.
  • You can export your data at any time (full backup and CSV export in Settings) and you can ask us to delete your account and data. See our Privacy Policy.
  • Only upload screenshots and information you are allowed to share. Do not upload other people's personal information, or material your prop firm or broker forbids you to share.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import. Results shown in the app (such as P&L, win rate, R-multiples and streaks) are calculated from what you enter.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms others;
  • try to access another user's account or data, or test our security without written permission;
  • scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or copy the service, or resell access to it;
  • upload malware or anything that could damage the service;
  • try to avoid or bypass billing, the trial limit, or access restrictions.

7. Our intellectual property

The software, design, text, logo and the name Untilt belong to us or our licensors. While your subscription or trial is active we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own journaling. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything.

8. Third parties

We rely on other providers to run the service, including Paystack (payments), Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage) and Vercel (hosting). Their services have their own terms. Names of prop firms and brokers shown in the app belong to their owners; we use them only so you can label your accounts, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the service running but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change or remove features, and we may carry out maintenance. We keep backups, but you should keep your own exports of anything important.

10. Limits on our responsibility

  • The service is provided “as is”. We make no promise that using it will improve your trading or produce profit.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits or opportunities, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy you have under South African consumer protection law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Suspension and ending the agreement

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment remains unpaid, or if the law requires. Where reasonable we will tell you first. If your access ends, you can still ask us for a copy of your data for a reasonable period, unless the law prevents it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated terms. If you do not, you can cancel.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will try to resolve it in good faith. You may also approach any consumer body or tribunal that has jurisdiction. Disputes may be heard in the South African courts.
